$800.00 Bursary Available to a Graduating Student Pursuing Post Secondary Studies
The Selection for this bursary will be made by the Directors of the Comox Valley Farmers Institute Bursary Committee. Applicants are to complete the application form which should be in the hands of the Bursary Committee no later than April 1, 2020.
Criteria:
1. The applicant must:
a. reside, or his/her family must reside within School District 71.
b. Be a graduating high school student in the spring of 2020.
c. Be proposing to pursue post secondary education at a University, College, Technical School or similar institution in the fall of 2020.
2. Preference will be given to a student who is intending on pursuing further agricultural studies/education and who is likely to make a contribution to agriculture/farming.
3. While acceptable academic performance is required, the award will not be made on the basis of academic standing.
4. The successful candidate will be of good character and practical ability.
5. Fill out the attached questionnaire to the best of their ability.
The public media will be informed of the recipient of the award and the person may be requested to submit a photograph and some information to be published.
